"an inspirational tutor who will help you find the beating heart of your poems." Becky Gethin, Moor Poets
"Alyson Hallet's workshops take poets into hidden dimensions of their own ability and charm fresh poems from delighted psyches." Lucy Lepchani
"I came away feeling creatively gifted from your very generous input. This generosity of yours made me feel that you were genuinely keen to see each student blossom in his or her own way. I gained confidence in that short session and have maintained this feeling despite some inevitable creative downs during the months that have gone by since then. You do have an unusual gift for giving lasting encouragement that is still and always will affect my work." Maggie Clark
Her work can be seen in public spaces –
she has a poem carved into Milsom Street pavement in the historic city
of Bath and she has carried stones with words carved into them to the
U.S.A. and Australia as part of her ongoing international public art
project, The Migration Habits of Stones. Alyson has recently completed
a novel and is working on her second manuscript of poems. Full details
of her work can be seen at www.thestonelibrary.com
