3 Night Weekend Breaks

Arrive on Friday afternoon, unpack and settle in to your room before dinner at the farmhouse.

Saturday - Along the coast north from Welcombe we come across the remains of an Iron Age hill fort right on the cliff edge, then further along the magnificent waterfall at spekes mill mouth. We arrive at Hartland Quay around lunch time with time to look at museum which shows the many many wrecks along the coast we have walked. After lunch we continue a little further north to Black Pool Mill and then inland to Hartland Abbey and the towering St Nectans Church.

Sunday - We walk along the north coast of the Hartland Peninsula east through the Clovelly Estate stopping at Mouth Mill beach and along the coast path to a number of fantastic view points. We arrive in the cobbled fishing village of Clovelly at lunch time and stop around the harbour to watch the comings and goings as we eat our lunch. After lunch we explore the cobbled streets completely free of cars as they are too narrow and steep. We continue up past Clovelly Court with its huge walled gardens and on through the estate farm and woodlands returning to our start point.

4 Night Weekend Breaks

Monday - Duckpool south of us that is the start of the walk. Going north from here along the coast we pass the erie satellite dishes of GCHQ then contrastingly the isolated deep valley of Stanbury Mouth. Sharpnose point offers fantastic views north and south and then we arrive in Morwenstow visiting Hawkers Hut and the beautiful Norman church. At lunch time we might visit the 14th Century Bush Inn before we take up the path to Tonnacombe Manor, Stanbury Manor and then into the stunning Combe Valley with it's little cluster of thatched cottages and forded stream.

After breakfast on Tuesday we bid you a safe journey and look forward to enjoying your company again.
