On one of the most dramatic stretches of the north Cornwall
coastline, just south of Tintagel, you will find The
Port William Inn. Magnificently situated, halfway up
a cliff in an out of the way cove, there is no other
pub in Cornwall with a location to match. The cove and
beach at Trebarwith Strand are beautifully unspoilt
and when the tide is out it reveals an expanse of gleaming
sand. Locally, this is one of the most popular places
to eat with a superb menu prepared by a resident chef.
The fine selection of home-cooked dishes includes local
fish and seafood, steaks and some imaginative vegetarian
meals. Meals and snacks can be enjoyed in the non-smoking
conservatory dining-room which looks out over the sea,
or at the outside tables if the weather permits.
