Dates back to the 13th century and has
monastic origins. It is delightfully situated on the
Cornish Coast Path and is claimed to be one of Britain's
oldest pubs with Saxon parts. It still has a Celtic
Piscina fashioned from Serpentine stone set in the wall
of the Kitchen Bar. Renowned as a meeting place for
smugglers and wreckers, is now open throughout the year
for snacks. Good range of bar food. Real ales and cider.
